Claudia Gasparrini
Claudia is a nuclear scientist and Academic Visitor in the Department of Materials & Centre for Nuclear Engineering. In 2024 she was awarded a 1.5M€ European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant for her project URÅNIA: Unique Research Asset for Nuclear Innovative Applications where she devised and proposed a new breakthrough methodology to unveil the precursors responsible for the shift across incubation to initiation of materials degradation phenomena thanks to synergistic collaboration across world leading institutions and unique experimental facilities.
